OUTPUT FROM AUCKLAND
Up to the present, says the Auckland "Herald," 239,320 boxes of butter, equal to ll!),(i(iocwt., have been exported for this scusnu, as against 211.521 boxes, equal to 107,410!cwt., for the corresponding period of last/ season. This -represents an increase of 101 per cent. Thp season, owing to the favourable weather experienced, is likely to be iiuieh moro prolonged than was' tho case last year, and it is coiiiidcntly anticipated that the increased export will I\> at least la per cent, by the end of tho season.
The feature of the season has been the rapid growth of the export of butter to Vancouver. This trade has exceeded the most '.sanguine anticipations of (he merchants, their resources having been taxed (o the utmost to meet the great demand from the Canadian market. I'p to this lime last sen-on only 21)58 boxes, equal to UTflewt. of butter, had boon sent to Vancouver, whereas the total for this season stands at 10,1)2(1 boxes, equal to U'Jlillcwtv A big increase-in the export of butter to the west coast otTingland is also noted. Last season the quantity taken to that market was 10(19 boxes, equal to 5'J-llcwt., as against 8551 boxes, or 4277c\vt., for this season.
