AGAINST COMPULSORY TRAINING.
"DODGER" DISTRIBUTORS FINED. (Br Colesrasb.—Prcns Auocl&ttan.l Christchurch, February 16. Mr. Bailey, S.M., in his reserved decision in tho eases against James Worrall and Frank M'Cullough, charged with distributing "dodgers" or handbills 011 January 1G aud February 2, held that the card of membership of- the Passive Registers' Union, in regard to which tho information was laid in tho second ease, was not a "dodger" or handbill, aud ho dismissed the eases. In regard to tho handbill apxiinst compulsory training, which, it was admitted, defendants had distributed, but which they ceased distributing when told its distribution was illegal, a fine of ,V. and costs was imposed on each defendant.
