The death is announced of Admiral of the Fleet, Sir Nowell Salmon, Y.C., G.C.8., aged 77. JTho deceased Admiral saw service in the Baltic during the Russian war, and in Peel's Brigade during the Indian Mutiny. He was successively Commander-in-Chief at tho Cape, on the China Station, and at Portsmouth. He wa'i Commander-in-Chief of tho Fleet a'c Queen \ictoria's Jubilee Review in 1807.]
