INFATUATED CIVIL SERVANT.
"NO MARRIAGE, BUT FUNERALS."

Michcle Blunno, head of the Viticnlturnl branch of tho Agricultural Department, was charged to-day with threatening to kill Archibald AVindeyer, a well-known squatter, and other persons. Tho evidence showed that Blunuo was infatuated with Mr. AA'indoyer's sister, and trhen he was informed that the lady was engaged to be married, he wrote to her saying that there would be no marriage, but funerals instead. - The jury found Blunno "Not guilty," but added (hat he was suffering from temporary mental derangement at the time the letter was written.
The Judge ordered him to be detained in a reception-house during the Governor's pleasure.
