WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY

A meeting of tho Wellington Presbvery was held in St. John's Church yesterday morning, the Moderator (Rev W Bong as) presiding Tho Eev. James M Caw reported on behalf of the committeo appointed in connection with church work m Ahcetown, and the Rev. Wm Shirer similarly reported in regard to Island Bay. It was'reported that Mr. Buchanan, home missionary at the Upper Hutt, had moved tram the district, and that Mr. Sherbrook had been appointed in his stead. Permission was given to the managers of knox Church (Hutt) to borrow money with which lo execute necessary remiir's and alterations.
