A HINT TO SHOW BREEDERS.

HOW TO SHOW CATTLE. Speaking at the annual smoke cmc»rt held in connection with the Foilding show, Mr. E. Eagle,, who judged tuu »cisey and llolstein cattle classes, gave a hint which may be valuable to breeders who exhibit at the various shows. Kcfcrring to tho cattle he had had to handle, he remarked that ho noticed that a number of them had apparently never had a halter on them. It was a great mistake for any man to take .a beast into a show ring until it would' lead properly. In his judging he had had to pass beasts over because they would neither stand or lead. In pens of two, also, it was often found that there was one very good 'beast and one plain or-. He thought breeders should try and get two beasts as even as possible. As tilings sbod, it was wasting one good beast in putting alongside it one that was not first class.
