DRAINAGE OF ONSLOW.
PROPOSITION TO THE CITY, Iu commotion with tho drainage of Kgaio and Khaudallah (in the borough of Onslow), to be carried out in conjunction with a portion of Kttrori and Wadestown (in the city area), the Onslow Borough Council has submitted to the City Council a proposition that tho city construct only sufficient of the septic tank for tho city needs, and extra compartments bo constructed when the population of the borough warrants same, and that tho borough should pay only tho interest and sinking fund upon the extra cost of pipes until such time as tho borough raises their loan. The Finaneo Committee of the council last evening recommended that "tho borough be informed that tho necessary additions to the septic tank to necommedato tho borough drainage be built entirely at their expense when required; that tho borough pay t> per cent, of tho extra cost nf tho pipe, to includo interest, sinking fund.'and upkeep until such time as they require to make use of it, and when raising, their, loan for sewerage tho borough ■to include-the necessary amount to repay the corporation." 'Tho recommendation was adopted.
