HEAT WAVE BROKEN. By Tclesranh—Press Association—Conyrlelit (Rec. February- 8, 9.45 p.m.) Sydney, February 8. The heat wavo in tho city has been broken by a thunderstorm and heavy rain. The heat inland is still very severe. Bush fires were responsible during the past few days for 6crious delays in tho telegraphic servioe, at many places posts have been burned, and lines have collapsed. Victoria and Tasmania report cooler conditions.
