The secretary of tho Board of Control has notified the ten playeTS selected for England that they will be given ten cloys in which to reply. Iredale has resigned from tho Australian Selection Committee, giving as bis reason that he is ill-disposed to sit on the committee with Hill after the recent episode. SPOFFORTH INTERVIEWED. London, February 7. The "Pall Mall Gazette" has interviewed Mr. C. Kpofforth, who said that tho Board of Control was composed of cricketers who thought they knew a great deal, but it was impossible to judge players from the pavilion. The board required more playing members. Teams, he said, should bo selected by three players who were certainties. HORDERN NOT AVAILABLE. (Rcc. February 8, 9.45 p.m.) Sydney, February 8.
