A collision has occurred between the steamer Potomac, outward-bound for London, with a full cargo of wheat, and the White Star steamer Georgic, "inwardbound. The accident took place in a dense fog early this morning, thirty miles east of Cape Otway. The Georgic noticed the Potomac crossing her bows, but too late to avoid an impact, and received a sliding blow on the port bow, causing a big dent five feet long by four foet wide. Tho Potomac received a big shallow dent high on the starboard side, and about ten or twelve feet long. Her iron decks were also bulged. Both vessels came into port. A portion of the Georgic's cargo will be discharged to facilitate repairs.
