Kutorua berthed at the Queen's Wharf Ko. 1 South, having arrived at, anchor in the stream from London, via way ports, at 4.15 p.m. A report, of tile voyage (supplied by Mr. F. Patiiuson, second oflieer), stated that the llotonia !i>rt London on December 21, arriving at Plymouth on the following day. Alter embarking pa=?engcrs and taking in mails, the liner left for Tencriffe at 6 p.m. on December 23. Strong winds ami rough sras were encountered across the Hay of lii.-cay to Cape Finistere, and thence, line weather to Tenerill'e, which port was made at 10.30 a.m. on December 28. Having taken in 682 tonu of bunker coal, the jonrmy was continued in line weather to Cape Town. When the Rotorua arrived in Tablo liay, at 2 a.m. on January 12, a heavy gaje wa.iblowing. and this delayed her berthing until the afternoon. Here 1107 toiid of bunker eoal were talieu in, and departure taken for llobart at 7 a.m. on January 13. For the first four days out fresh south-east and southerly gales accompanied by heavy head seas, 'delayed the vessel s progress considerably. Thence onward, fine weather was experienced, arrival at llobart being made on Thursday last.
