The statement rcganling Arnsfs arrangement with Barry was made after his departure from the function mentioned in yesterday's massage. Later, in an interview, Arnst declared (hat lie had not sent one word to Barry about the match, nor had anyone else. At the same time ho was considering the matter. "I don't mean," ho said, *'to imply that I anl prepared to accept JSOO for expenses, because at present -ho persuasion will induce mo to do so. 1 might take X 750 or a little less,-but nothing will be known till I havo cabled Marry and received his reply. You can take it from me that I itih not yet matched against Harry, and to far as I know at present I may never be." It has been gathered front other sources that the statement that Arnst has booked his passage to England is correct. COMMENTS BY THE "SUN." By TeleeraDh-Press Aasociatlon-SoDsrlehl (Rec. February 0, 5.30 p.m.) Sydney, February 0. The "Sun" publishes a denial by R. Arnst with respect to the report published in the papers that lie has arranged a match with Barry. In the interview, he declared that ho left the social function where he was alleged to have made the statement, early, and said nothing there about Barry. Ho added, "I do intend to cable Barry about coining to terms, but nothing has been done so far."
