(Fcilding branch), report for tho week ending February 2, as follows:—At Fcilding, on Friday, we had a very good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Lambs were in keen demand, and all other classes sold readily. With the exception of one pen of sheep, and an odd small nen of cattle, we disposed of our entry at prices in. favour of vendors. Cull mixed lambs, ss. 3d.; better ditto, up to 6s. 5d.; medium rape lambs, Bs. Gd.; woolly lambs, 9s. Id.; S.D. rape lambs, 9s. 7d.; 4 and 6-tooth ewen, lis. 10d.; 4-year owes, 10s. fid.; 3 and 4ycar ewes, lis.; inferior ewes, 9k.; fat and forward ewes, to 13s. sd. CaM.'.o: Mixed wcanors. 31s. 6d.; wearer steers, 3Ss.; others, to 335. 6d.; wcaner heifers. 305.: better ditto. £2; Jersey crrass wcaner heifers, to £2: cull weaners, 18s.; empty 2-ycar heifers, £3 Bs. 6d.: forward cows, £4 155.; light fat cows, £5; better ditto, £5 Id'.; bulls at various prices. At Apiti on Tuesday a eood yarding of sheep and a fair -entry of onttlc, chiefly weaners, ramo forward. F>irtdinc was brisk throughout, and wo made a total clearance. Mixed lambs. 7s. On Wednesday last, at Mr. Orr's. Ilea con sficld, wo held a successful snje of implements, sundries, etc. A nice line of woaners also made £2 Is. 6d. Messrs. A. H. Atkinson and Co., Ltd., Feilding, sold a medium yarding of nics on Friday, prices being well maintained. Weaners sold to 12s. 6d., and fair weight store 'pigs to 335. Poultry were penned in very large numbers, and in excess of local requirements, heavy purchases haying been made the previous week. A large assortment of plums made from Is. 6d. to 3s. per case.
