Counsol for the prosecution in the trial of Mrs. Hazzard, the "starvation doctor," addressing the jury said that such crimes were rampant in the United States. The case had attracted the attention of the civilised world, and if tho prisoner was acquitted faddists everywhere would consider .themselves free to deal with unsuspecting folk as they pleased. Mrs. Hazzard, "the starvation doctor" of Seattle, who is charged with having wilfully caused tho death of Miss Claire Williamson, a wealthy Victorian girl, has beon committed for trial before a jury.
