ON CHURCHMEN'S DUTIES. By Telerraph—Preis Association—CoDyrlzht London, February 2. The Bishop of Oxford, addressing the Christian Social Union at Westminster, donounced churchmen's traditional indifference to their social obligations. Church people, he said, ought not to do mere- salvago work when too'late, but should insist on the abolition of slums and other evils, giving the mosses a chance to reach n. higher level.
