Auckland Wedding. A marriage was celebrated at"St Patrick's Cathedral on Wednesday between Mr. Hansen and Miss Coleta Lorrigan, for many years leading soprano soloist in tho Cathedral choir. The ccremony was celebrated by the Rev. Fr. Holbrook, Adm., assisted by Fathers O'llara, Wright, Onnond, Forde, and O'Doherty. The, bridesmaids wore Misses M'Donald (2), nieces of tho bridegroom, and Lowry,niece of the bride. Full choral- service was rendered. Millard's mass was sung. A wedding breakfast was subsequently held, over which Father Holbrooic presided. Several toasts were proposed. Bifliop Cleary wired his congratulations from Hamilto'n. Presents were given by the choir and collectors, through the modium of tho Bishop last Sunday evening. A Souvenir. . Mrs. Vallanco (Kahumingi) is at prosont visiting Wellington. Mrs. Denniston 'passed through Wellington yesterday on her way to Christchurch. This afternoon the fete organised in aid of tho Organ Fund of St. James's Church, Lower Hutt, takes place in the gardens of Pern Grove, lent for the puri>oso by Mrs. Hiddil'ord. Various attraction's have been arranged for, and there will bo all tho usual stalls—flower, fruit, sweets, nnd calco stalls. Miss Popplowoll (Dunedin) lelt Wellington yesterday for London, via Sydney. It is her intention *o study singing under Madiuuo Blanche Marches! Brisk trade, was done ill ilio various raffles, and in the sales, and proceedings were agree- , ably .lightened by vocal and instrumental, music. Some of the raffles have already teen decided. A still larger attendance ie. confidently cxpecfed to-day, when all tho raffles will bo finally disposed of. Tho well supplied supper-room was well patronised.
