EVENING SPORTS.
An evening meeting of the Wellington Athletic Club was held at 6.30 last evening on the Basin' Reserve. The entries wero good, and the attendance fair, considering the inability of many who might, in the ordinary course of events, have "trammed" up. The following were the 220 yds. hurdle handicap—J. Wilton (2yds.), with A. T. Duncan (scr.), second won 'the first heat. Timo, 24 l-ssec .M. Pool (2yds.), and R. J. Adams (12yds.) sociiiul, won the second heat. Time, Msec. In the final, Tool beat Wilton by a small margin; Cunninghame was third, rime, " 410 yds.' hurdles handirapl-A. Hugh (.Inyiis.), 1 ; T,. Salek (20yds.), 2; A. C. Kitto (scr.), :): ' ' Mile handicap.—J. 'L. M'Donald (lOr.yds.), 1; F. Hodson (80ydc>, 2; J. F. Byrne (20yds.), 3. Mile walk—M. Tracer, 1; Sievwnght, 2; J). Cashman, 3. Tracer had 220 yds. on Cashmnn, who put up a fine performance in coming third.
