PRESENTATION TO ME. A. A'. COKHIGAN. Mr. A. A. Corrigan, general manager of the Wellington branch of the D.I.C, severed his connection with that Orm yesterday after 21 years' service. To mark tho event and show their esteem and regard, the'stuff sent up to his office, yesterday a very handsome and valuable present, consisting of a silver tea wrvice and salver, inscribed, as follows—"Presented to A. A. Corrigan, ICsq., by the stuff of tho D.I.C, Wellington, January, 1912." Tho presentation wa-s accompanied by the following letter:—"Dear Sir,—On the eve of severing yqur connection Svith Hie D.I.C, we, tho staff, desire to express our deep rogret at losing a manager who hjks always worked in tho best interests of tho company, being nt tho same time just and courteous to the staff. We feel .sure a more humane manager it would Iμ impossible to conceive of. We ask you to accent the accompanying gift as ft token of the esteem in which you aro held. It carries with it the verv sincere and hearty good wishes of Hie staff of the D.1.C." After closing hour, Mr. Gorrijfon met the assembled slaff, and in bidding them-good-bye expressed his appreciation of the very beautiful present he had received, ami thiuikcd thciu for the loyal help and support ho had always been Accorded from all grades of tho staff, particularly during the very trying and arduous times.
