DENIAL BY THK PRIME MINISTER.
Tlio Prime Minister (Sir Joseph Ward) yesterday gave a distinct denial to the statement, contained in n Press Association message from Goro (published iu Tun Dominion yesterday), that it was tho intention of his Government to resign. (By Telcerapli-Press Association.) Gore, January 31. In connection with the rumour published in the "Mataura Kn-sigu" fo l.lio effect that the Hon. .1. A. Millar will resign from the Cabinet nbsolutely, anil go to Australia, (lie Minister has telegraphed to the editor, in response to a communication, as follows:—"No truth in statement re resigning."
