Arrangements for tho rifle championship meeting at Trentham at tho end of next mouth are. now well forward.' Entries close on February 3 next, and from what can l» gathered thoro is every prospect of between four and livo hundred competitors parading at Iho squadding posts on tho opening day, February 28. The meeting this year will bo the first held under the reorganised Dominion ltille Association, and although there liavo been introduced certain material alterations in the programme, there is practically the same field of competition for tiio bull'seyo sports under the new- rctmno as Was offered under tho old. In fact, except for certain changes in tho conduct of ■ the service matches, the programme is practically tho samo. as it was last year, so far as tlio old shots are concerned..

Vurdy (Director of Medical Services), medical oflicor; 'Lieu-tenant-Colonel Robert Hughes, chief range officer; Captain S. A, Grant (brigademajor, Otago Infantry Brigade), adjutant; and Captain F. J). Mabin, quartermaster. Tljb range staff will include; LieutetiantColonel l'\ B. Cresswell, T.D., Major J, G. Hughes, D.5.0., Major C. 11. Turner, Major 1). Matheson, Captain G. Dnigan, Captain 11. G. Cox, Lieutenant I'. Donll, Captain Mabin, Captain Saiullc, Lieuten-ant-Colonel Beckingham, Major Bishop,Captain Harper, Captain M'Jvaught, Cantain M'Millan, Captain Salter, Captain ' M'Lean, Captain Hall, Lieutenant Barnett, Lieutenant Cooke, Lieutenant Hawthorne, Captain Chapman. The general arrangements of the camp will be as last year, and the association will do its own catering.
