C ■ With regard to the offer of the Canterbury District Law Society of two annual prizes valued.atss. each, with the request thAt they may be'awnrded by the University ; to Canterbury law; students- for merit., the committee recommended the University not to take over the award of 'the prizes, but that the Canterbury Law Society .be informed that the University will report, to the scciety the highest marks given by the examiners to Canterbury candidates, and afford any other information to enable the society to make tho award.
