CHARGED WITH EMBEZZLEMENT,
By Telefrraph—Pre«a Association—Ooorrlsht (Rec, January 29, 9.55 p.m.) Sydney, January 29. Following the issue of a warrant and tho subsequent arrest of Francisco Macpherson, accountant to tho Singer Sewing Machine Company, on a charge of embezzlement, tho company has now issued a warrant for the arrest of F. D. Brown, the Australian General Manager of the company, on chargcs of conspiring with Macpherson to defraud the company, and embezzlement. Brown is absent in India. It is stated that tho total irregularities amount to nearly *623,000.
