The Labour Conference has adopted a resolution in favour of tho introduction of a Bill providing for a six-hours day, fixing the pay of unskilled labourers at ten shillings a. day, and limiting the age of employment iu the Public ■ Service to sixty-five. Other planks in the, platform include the nationalisation of the Health Department, the limitation of rents for the working classes, and tho establishment of a State, Tiro and Lifo Insurance Department. Othor resolutions favoured reforming, cheapening, and consolidating law procedure, and tho establishment of a minimum living wage of ten shillings a day for all occupations, with equal pay for yomen for equal work.
