WORLD-WIDE CONGRATULATIONS. (By Tclezrach.-SDcci.il CerrofDondenU Auckland, January 27. Congratulations upon the success of the Reform party at the [rener.il elections have reached Mr. W. P. Massey, the Leader of the party, from almost every part of the world in which New Zcalanders avo resident. The latest message was received by Mr. Massey yesterday from Porak, Federated , Malay States. The letter, which is dated December 21, is ;\ follows:—"We feel we would like to offer you our personal congratulations on the grand result of the New Zealand elections. "We could have wished it were a little more decisive, but as the bare cable figures read they are (rood enough to show that you and your party are badly wanted in this part of the world. VVe New Zealanders met and discussed the situation, and were unanimously of the opinion that I should ■write on behalf of myself and my fellowNew Zealamlcrs here to congratulate you most heartily. 1 would just like to mention that all New Zealandcrs here at once, said: 'By Jove, one will be able to pet a piece of land now,' and all signified their intention of returning as soon as possible."
