AVAS A BROKEN ENGAGEMENT THE ,aVUSE? Yesterday evening an inquest was held by Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., concerning the death of Robert White, who was found on Wednesday at the boardinghouFC where he had lived with his throat cut. Shortly, tho evidence showed that White had been worrying considerably since tho breaking oil' of his engagement to marry. White was a wharf labourer about 10 years of age. Albert Ernest Hooper, factory assistant, residing at 26 Ghuznee Street, deposed that he knew White slightly. Both had stayed at Ihe boarclinshouse together. At 12.J5 on Wednesday he saw "White, who was then in his ordinary health. Later witness taw White sitting on the top of a bay window with only his shirt on. With assistance he got White lo his room, but deceased was in a bad way, and was' shaking al lover. Witness went for a constable, but did not find one, and so returned .to the hous".
