With regard to the question of the removal of manure from the stables within (lie city. Councillor Shirtclifl'e stated that it was proposed to establish two manure depots (ono_ in tho city and one at Newtown), from which the manure would be taken away by electric traction to Lyall Bay. This would do away with the difficulty which at nresent existed in connection with (!<o storage of manure. Ho honed that a serious effort would Ik made to carry out the enjinwr's .recommendations.
