Tho Amateur Swimming Union Conference adopted a-> tentative agreement, with a currency to July next, providing thatall the contracting. parties to the agrccment'must become affiliated to tho union before that date. A vote will be taken by mail on tho question of the alteration of' tho constitution. New Zealand's application to be allowed to bocomo a party to the agreement, with the proviso that tho Dominion be permitted to send representatives to tho carnival only once in two years, did not most with approval. New Zealand is to be informed that its swimming representatives at carnivals would be welcomed during the currency of tho present agreement. Due notice will bo given as to the date when the new agrce.ment will be drawn up so that New Zealand may send a delegate to tho conference. CHAMPIONSHIP CONTEST. Adelaide, January 25. At the swimming championships, the 220 yds. championship resulted:—Longworth, 1; Hanhvick, 2; Findioy, 3. Longworth won by Iyds. The 300 yds. Breast Stroke was won by Findlay, of Western Australia.
