' KING'S THEATRE. "The Sins of the Father" is a realty fine picture which is being produced at the King's Theatre this week. It is a story which lwars resemblance to Zola's Drmk." The sin of the father was excessive drinking, and the heredity of the son is tainted. He marriee, and iu after life suffers from nervous headaches, fits of rage, and fits of jealousy. Hβ shoots his wife; and tho trial furnishes a very dramatic Boone. Tho father is produced to support the defending counsel's story of the younger man's bereditarv misfortune, but the son collapeei and expires. Another striking picture is named "Tho Battle," a Rood story of ■the American war of 1861-65. THE NEW THEATRE. Large attendances were" recorded at Messrs. M'Mahon and Donnelly's Noir Theatre in Manners Street yesturdiiy, and the attractive programme of pictures ,wa» much appreciated. A new. film by the Cines Company, of Rome, • entitled "To tho Brave, the Fair," a military romance of more than average merit in design and staging, was one of the prominent features of yesterday's sessions. The programme also includes: "The Battlo" (an A.B. production worthy of that wellknown company), "Lone Star's Return" (a typical Bison film), and "The Reclame tion of Sharkey." SHORTT'S PICTURES. Shortt's Continuous Picture Theatre i* Willis Street was well patronised by th« public yesterday. Tho programme wai enhanced by the inclusion of a remarkably fine Selig film entitled "The Indian Vestal," a powerful Indian drama, Othef good studies include an amusing Vitagraph comedy entitled "Over the Chafing Dish"; tho "Gaumont Graphic," a bright budget of topical events; "Amongst the Roses," a fine coloured study; and "Flora and the Nymphs," the beautiful flower picturo which attracted so much attention last week, and is being repeated by special request.
