THE MANURE LOADING TROUBLE.
FARMERS' UNION DISCUSSION. . 18/ Telegraph.—Sneeial CorrejnoiidenU j Auckland, January 24. "Quite n farce," was the way in which the Dmiodin JJrokers' Association referred to the waterside workers' demands regarding immures in a letter read at this morning's mooting of the Auckland executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Uuion. In a dhcusi-ion which followed, Mr. Schmidt suggested, and it was agreed, that a more practical way of settling such difficulties w;as not to fit round Hie table and pass resolutions, but to confer porsomilly with the workers on any matter where tho iiirnicrs' interests were concerned. In this mu'ticuiar connection tho following motion, proposed by Major Lush, was carried: "That the Wool Brokers' Association be. given a copy <if the following resolution: "That in reference to the waterside workers' objection to handling artificial manures, the waterside workers be asked to discuss the question with the executive of the. Fanners Union, and also that the council of the Federation of Labour be asked to send a representative to di.-cuss tho matter at the annual Farmers' Union provincial conference.'"
