The procedure laid down under the Legislature Act sets out that the petition shall bo lodged with the returning officer, who in turn forwards it onto the Registrar of the Supreme Court. The Chief Justice then names the two Judges to constitute the Election Court to conduct the trial. In justice to all parties it is considered desirable in such cases that the Judges shall lie selected to try the issue as soon as possible after the petition is lodged, so that the question at issue may bo cleared up without unnecessary delay.
