DANNEVIRKE SHOW.
At-a meeting of the Dannevirke A. and P. Association 011 Saturday, Mr. L. C. Rat.hbone, presiding, it was reported that: Mr. L. 11. M'Hardy, who was appointed to judge Shorthorn cattle at the forthcoming show, would bo luiablo to act. The chairman said he had instructed the secretary to writo to Mr. Frank Moore, Kai lwi, and had asked him to act. In accordance with notice of motion tho president moved that two-tooths bo eligible for championship honours, and this was agreed to. A letter was received from the District Traffic Manager of tho Railway Department stating that he would not bo prepared to grant an extension of the railway facilities for the show unless the association was prepared to guarantee the special train it would necessitate. Tho president urged (hat the association should accept tho proposals of the Department and guarantee a special train. Ho moved that arrangements be made to run a special train 1 from . Napier on show day. and a sub-committee arrange matters. He moved that Messrs. liiekford, Bain, and liuic.k, with the officers be t.ho sub-com-mittee.—This was agreed to.
