MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. t At tho last mooting of the Winter Show Committee it was resolved to write to tho Dairy Commissioner, .asking that a demonstration of cheese-making be given at tho > coming show, with, perhaps, a short lecture. It was deckled that tho chaTges for i spaco remain as usual; that scheihilcs be immediately sent to schools likely to compete in tho schools division. It was decided that a half-ton cheese be again obtained from the Ngairo dairy fac- • tory, and that coins to the value of £15 bo distributed throughout it. It was resolved that Messrs. Collinson and Cunningham© bo nccoTdcil a hearty vote of thinks for the donation of a trophy for the horse-jumping event; that . the secretary write to the National Dairy Association and various co-operative conipanif> with a view to obtaining trophies for tho butter and cheese classes; that a sinoko concert bo held as usual; that tho question of arranging space be held over fill some idea can bo formed of the number of entries coming forward. r In regard to tho ring events the chairman stated that every effort should bo made to secure as many entries as possible, and to popularise them in every way. It was resolved that tho maiden > jump, the Hunt Club's event, and the [ competition for the Collinson and Cun--1 ninghamo cup be held on tho Thursday; that nil attempt bo made to arrange an Association football match on the Friday . afternoon of the show, instead of the . chapping and sawing competition, which is . to bo deleted. ; Tho matter of appointing judges was held over.
