SEAMEN AND OWNERS.
CONFERENCE STILL SITTING. Tha conference between shipowners and the Seamen's Union continued sitting all day yesterday, rising shortly before six o'clock. Tho proceedings hare been in camera from the beginning, but yesterday tho newspapers, published a somewhat. incomplete summary r of what had occurred the' previous day. There was a trifle of unpleasantness at tho conference yesterday about the alleged breach of conndcnce supposed to have been committed by some member, and one of the results was that no news was available to the press, Reporters were informed that there was nothing for publication, and that there would be nothing until tho conference rose. ; It will resume this morning, but it is extremely doubtful whether a final agreement will be rcached to-day.
