OBITUARY.
THE REV. DAVID BORRIE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) Dunedin, January 18. The Rev. David Borne, ex-Moderulo# of the Presbyterian General Assembly, is dead, aged 05. Born in Perthshire in 18JS, the Ror. David Borrie came to New Zealand with his family as a bny eleven years of ago. Jie entered Otago University as a student the day it was opened, and he was licensed to preach by the Dunedin Presbytery in 1870. He was inducted to the North' East Valley congregation in 1884 and he held the charge until his .retirement; in 1!)0G. Before and after his giv. ing up active parish work, Mr. Borrie held various offices under the Assembly. He was Moderator for two terms of a year, and convener of the Church Extension Committee for twenty years.
