Two eggs, their weight in Hour and butter, thi weight of one egg in brown sugar, half uf soda, two tablespoonfuls of treacle, i Cream tho butter and sugar, add , treacle, beat the eggs well, dissolve- the soda in a little, milk, gradually work in flour and eggs to the creamed butter and 1 sugar, then add soda; beat well, fill a 1 greased mould three parts full with the 1 mixture, cover mould with greased paper, * and steam one hour.
