r« THIRTY THOUSAND HOMELESS. By Teleeraph—Press Association—Copyright Tokio, January 16. The fire originated in a house of illfame. The whole quarter was consumed. Many women perished. The conflagration spread to a crowded workmen's quarter. Soldiors assisted the firemen and the fire was under control after ten hours' labour. The fire destroyed 5268 houses at Osaka. Thirty thousand people are homeless.
