SHOT IN THE STREET.
TRAGEDY IN MELBOURNE. By Teloffrapb—Press Association—CopyriEhl Melbourne, January 16. A tragedy has occurred in East Melbourne. A man named Tullidge was shot dead by another man named Holt. Tullidge recently obtained a divorce from his wife, Holt being the co-respond-ent. Holt and Mrs. Tullidge were walking along a street when Tullidge accosted them. A struggle between tho two men ensued, and two shots were fired. Holt was'arrested, but declares that Tullidge attacked him, and ttiat he only shot in self-defenoe.
