A party of seven working below failed to knock, when the manager descended and found five overcome by foul air. Three of the menFrank Magnire, Rube Nicholson, and John Mulhall—are dead; two are prostrated and in a serious condition. Two brothers, John and Bert Navin, could not bo found, and it is improbable that they aro alive. A relief party is searching. All those dead wero married, and the scene at the top of tho shaft was heartrending. ~ (Rec. January 15, 0.15 a.m.) Sydney, January H. A later report of the accident at West Wyalong states that four men are dead.
