At Portland, Oregon, three armed highwaymen held up two pedestrians, and later compelled the owner of an hotel to hand over the contents of his till. On two policemen entering, the highwaymen fired at them, and seriously injured both. Tho robbers escaped, but a posse is pursuing them.
