« (By TdeEraph.-Stecial Correspondents Wanganui, Jajrearv 13. Tho Bbt. J. D. M'Kcnzie, who underwent a. rather severo operation a few days ago, has sufficiently recovered (o bs removed to his home. Ho proceeds to Australia shortly to seek tho benefit of change. Tho rainfall for Wanganui during December was G.lfl inches. For tho last year tho total fall was 41.Cm., as against 3G.o9in. for tho previous year. During 1911 rain fell on 144 days. Mr. C. W. Poynter, for many years manager of tho well-known firm of A, D. Willis, Ltd., has taken over tho stationer's business of Mr. P. A. Krull.
