THIS EVENING'S "AT HOME."

An "at homo" is to be given to visiting bowlers at the Concert Chamber this evening. An attractive programme lms beon arranged, consisting of musical items, toasts, and an interval for refreshments. The toast of "Tho Northern Howling Association" will be proposed by Mr. Macdougall, of Christchurch, nnd will bo responded to by Mr. James Keith (president of the Northern Bowling Association). Mr. Maurice Casey (vice-presi-dent of the N.8.A.) will propoa' "Tho New Zealand Bowling Association," to bo responded to by Mr. C. l'ayne, of Dunedin. Tho toast of "Tho Visiting Bowlers" will be proposed by Mr. E. K. Martiu, and will be responded to by Messrs. Sneddon (Auckland), Nash (Palmerston North), and Walker (Dunedin). Mr. J. Kinniburgh (Hataitai) will propose "The Ladies," who will be spoken for by Mr. Magnus (Wellington). Tho musical programme has beeu arranged by* Mr. 10. J. Uill. Visiting bowlers will be admitted on presentation of cards of invitation. THE CONSOLATION MATCH. At the conclusion of to-day's play the officials will arrange the draw for tho consolation rink match—for players not concerned in ties or games between sec-tion-winners. Skips of rinks will bo fully advised as to when and where they axn. to play to-morrow at this evening s "at homo" in the Concert Chamber. A CAPABLE SECRETARY. The . Northern Bowling Association is fortunate in having secured the services of Mr. J. J. Roberts as secretary. The very complete nature of his arrangements, 'and the first-rato order in which the results come to hand from the various greens, reflect credit on his methods and powers of organisation.
