THE SHIPBUILDING TRADE. ' London, January 7.A campaign for a forty-eight hours' week in the shipbuilding trade throughout the 'country is threatened owing to tne Thames Ironworks deadlock. MOUNT Li'ELL MINERS. Hobart, January 8. The Mount Lyell miners have accepted the company's agreement, signing for a currency of two years aud a half. The trouble is now ended. A LOCKOUT THREATENED. (Rec. January 8, 10.10 p.m.) London, January 8. Tiro thousand woolcombers have struck at Bradford against the employment of non-unionists. A lockout, involving twelve thousand men, is threatened. COTTON TRADE DISPUTE. London, January 8. The outlook in the cotton trade dispute is more hopeful. ( THE WHARF LABOURERS. (Rec. January 9, 0.25 a.m.) Melbourne, January 8. A conference of shipowners and wharf labourers sat in camera to discuss the men's demands and then adjourned till to-morrow.
