<yLABOURERS' DISPUTE.

(By TelefraDß—Press Association.! Auckland, January 4. The employers' determined attitude in regard to the demands of the general labourers, in refusing to meet in conference except under the auspices of the Arbitration Act, has so far met with no response on the part of the union. A general meeting of tho union will be held to-morrow evening to discuss tho position, aud definite developments are expected. Jlr. P. l'rasor (president of the union), in discussing the matter, said that the executive were still anxious for a friendly conference.
