Writing to the International Arbitration League, Lord Haldanc, Secretary for War, said he believed tho future holds better and more intimate relations between Germany and Britain than the past. Mr. Harcourt, Colonial Secretary, declares that every patriotic Englishman must desire to promote Anglo-German friendship. Mr. M'Kcnna. states that only goodwill is needed to preservo friendly relations. Mr. Buxton and Mr. Samuel Pease sent similar messages.
