The' miners' strike at Treorchy, in South Wales, owing to the employment of non-unionists, has been settled, the non-unionists having joined the union. THE FREMANTLE LUMPERS. (Rec. January 1, 10.15 p.m.) Perth, January 1. The Fremantle lumpers' strike has been settled. A conference agreed to the appointment of an independent arbitrator! Mr. Troy ucted as arbitrator, and grant, ed the men an all-round increase. The men then met and accepted the award.
