At tiie sitting of the Magistrate's Court this morning, several'residents were fined' for minor breaches of the Iwrough byJaws. The monthly meeting of the .District, High School Committee was held last evening. Tho treasurer reported a credit balance of .L'So. Tho visiting committco were authorised to arrange, with Mr. C. X. llaslam for shooting competitions by the cadets during tho holidays. The new Anglican Church at Knripuni was opened yesterday. The sermon in the evening, when the little church was filled, was preached by. the Von. Archdeacon Fancnnrt. .The church- has l)Ocn named tho Church of the Epiplmnv. •
