THE SCHUMACHER CUP. J With the approval of the War Office, and under the auspices of the National liiflo Association, the following competition will bo hold throughout the Empire, ! for which Lieutenant-Colonel I?. \V. \ Schumacher has offered a challenge cup, of the val'io of 100 guineas, as well ' as silver and bronze commemorative medals and .£4OO in money annually. The Empiro Day Challenge Cup is to be shot for on any one day from April 15 to Mny 21, 1912 1 inclusive!, on any available range. Tho competition is open to one team of forty, of whom not more than hvo may bs commissioned officrs end four may be sergeants, (laiice-iergeants hot included) from any imif of his Majesty's service. Warrant officers and non-commissioned officers above the rank of sergeant (or, in case of naval teams, warrant or p;tty officers of corresponding rank) may not bo members of any team. Tho prize list is as follows:—First'prize— The Empire Day Chnllcnrce. Cup, to be held for one-ypar by the officer coiumand'ing the -ninninf; unit; ,£!00 in money; aud 41 silver commemorative medals.
