OLYMPIC GAMES.
A CONFERENCE TO BE HELD. A meeting of the Olympic Games Committee was held last night to consider a proposal that a conference of representatives irom the Olyuipic Councils of New South Wales, Victoria, New Zealand, and Tasmania be held at Wellington when the Australasian championships are being held here next week. The proposal came, from the, New South Wales Olympic Council. It was decided to hold the conference on Thursday, December 23, and Mr. A. Marryatt was apnointed New Zealand delegate. It is not known what are tho matters to be discussed, but it is understood that the main purpose of the meeting will be to agree upon some plan to secure proper Austrolasfan renresentation nt ttie Olympic Games. Tho delegates at the conference will be— ■ New South Wales Olympic Council • Mr. A. G. De L. Arnold (hon. secretary!. Victorian Olympic Council: Mr. B;*J. Parkinson (chairman). New Zealand Olympic Council: Mr: Arthur Marryatt (chairman). Tiismnnian Olympic Council: Mr. E. A. Brooke (hon. secretary), International Olympic Committee: Mt. R. Coombes 'representative for Australia and New Zealand). Mr. Arnold sails for Wellington direct in the Manuka on December 23. Mr. I'arkinson left Melbourne hist Wednesday ir. the I'limaroa, and Mr. Brooke '■oiived the steamer, at Hobart. Mr. Coombes sailed in tho D.M.S. Meoltan vssterday for Auckland, and he rill come to Wellington by train. '
