COLLEGE BOAT RACE.

WANGANUI BEAT WELLINGTON. The annual boat race between the Wa■nganui Collegiate School and Wellington Collego was rowed on Wellington harbour from Ngahauranga to Kaiwarra yesterday. Tho result was a victory for Wanganui. Wellington gained at tho start through Wanganui commencing badly. However, Wanganui soon reduced the lead, and then forged a length ahead. Gradually they improved their position, and at the finish they won by three lengths.^ The winning crow were: F. M. bpcncer (bow), J. Ormond (2), L. N. Younghusband (3), H. B. Hindle (stoke), and I. Munro (cos).
