Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report:—We held our fortnightly sale of wool, skins, hide?, and tallow this after- | noon, when wo offered, a pood selection of , all classes to a larec attendance of buyers. Competition throughout, was keen. Wool (oddments only): Prices were higher in i sympathy with rise at main sales. Cross- i bred, 6Jd. to 73d.; dead, 5Jd. to 7£d.; black, , 61(1. to 6Jd.; pierce, 4id. to GSd.; locks, Jd. , to 33d. Hheepskins: Good linos wore keen- ' ly competed for, and prices all round were Jd. to Jd. higher. Crossbred fine, 7Jd j crossbred medium, 61d. to 7d.; hoggets, 63d.; , dead, 4Jd. to ojd.; broken and damaged, ' 32d. to 53d.; lambs, 42d.; pelts, 33d. to 4d.; pelts, green, lCd. to Is. 2d.; lambs' green, Is. 3d. Hides: Sound hides were about Id. per lb. lower than last, sale. Levin and Co., Ltd., roport:—Wo offered a small lot of wool, 2CCO sheepskins, SCO hides and calfskins, and a quantity of tallow and horsehair. Wool is being held for the next sale ,on January 11, 1912. Skins: Strong competition; fine skins and dead a farthing up. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report :-The attendanco -was good, and competition very keen, there being nn advance of about Jd. to Id. per lb. for skins. Hides were in good request at last pales' prices for heavy, and an occasional advance of id. per lb. for light hides. Bag wool met with good inquiry. Wo made a clearance of our catalogues.
